Leeway Welton Apartments

Montagno Construction completed a $2.3 million addition and renovation for Leeway Welton, transforming an existing brick saltbox-style home into supportive housing for individuals with disabilities due to HIV/AIDS. This project included an adaptive reuse of the original building and a 13,000 square foot, two-story addition at the rear. The new addition features ten one-bedroom apartments, each with a full kitchen and accessible accommodations for individuals with physical disabilities. Five units were designated for applicants meeting specific DMHAS eligibility requirements. The facility also includes a community room, conference room, and onsite laundry, creating a supportive and functional environment for residents. Funded through HUD, CHFA, and LIHTC with CHRO compliance, this development meets a critical housing need in the community.
