Montagno Construction completed the conversion of South Park Baptist Church into South Park Inn as one of their first projects. This well-known facility provides supportive temporary and long-term housing for Hartford’s homeless population. The church sanctuary was transformed into private, safe housing units, while the lower level was redesigned to include communal spaces, offices, and program areas. Our work included historic restoration, asbestos abatement, the installation of new windows, and the enhancement of HVAC systems and restrooms. This project, which remains a functioning supportive facility 35 years later, was funded by DDS and DOH with CHRO requirements. It was recognized as a National Historic Restoration Project.
