Montagno Construction was selected as the general contractor for the first major physical enhancement of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s artistic talent-development campus. Our work included the construction of seven new dormitory cottages, providing housing for 65 visiting artists and faculty. These buildings, designed to resemble expansive Victorian, beach-side residences, are arranged in a village setting. Additionally, we built a spacious, soaring rehearsal hall, a 1,500-square-foot choreography studio, and a multi-station keyboard and computer sound lab. A community laundromat was also included on-site. This $5,900,000 project, which encompassed all infrastructure and landscaping, was completed in just over a year.
