As founder and President of Montagno Construction, Inc., Kurt has been involved in the construction and development of health care and senior living, private educational, historic renovation, and commercial properties throughout the State of Connecticut and surrounding states since 1985. With nearly 40 years of experience, Kurt has worked in every management capacity including construction supervision, project management, estimating and cost development, business management, and executive oversight. He serves as Principal in Charge on all our projects and administers our AA/EOE Policy
Director of Business Development & Marketing
As Director of Business Development & Marketing, Marie has complete oversight of business development, marketing activities, and strategic planning. With a Master’s degree in business, Marie aids in strategic planning, uses her writing skills to compile winning proposals, and maintains business contacts to find new opportunities.
Andrew is responsible for preparing budgets and cost estimates for all phases of planning – conceptual, schematic, design/development, construction control budgets, and competitive hard bids. With an education in construction management from NYU and hands-on experience, coupled with an easygoing personality, Andy has a broad knowledge of construction and the quiet strength to solicit competitive bids from a variety of subcontractors. He is proficient in generating the documentation required of public funding sources.
With over 20 years’ construction experience, Richard manages several projects simultaneously. His background in architecture / design with an eye for detail, coupled with his work in progressively complex roles since starting with Montagno, gives him a well-rounded knowledge of construction to complement his management skills. During preconstruction, Richard creates a benchmark schedule; and during construction, he manages budget, schedule, communication, and subcontractor relations.
With a Bachelor’s degree in construction management from CCSU and years of experience, Anthony possesses a deep understanding of how to deliver successful, quality construction projects. His expertise includes budgeting, scheduling, owner communication, and subcontractor relations. Anthony is also our drone operator, capturing high quality aerial photography to document job
Steve attended Roger Williams University for construction management and has decades of experience on projects up to $40,000,000. As project manager, he manages communication, budget, schedule, and subcontractor relations. Steve is also OSHA 30-hr certified and is an active volunteer in the community.
Assistant Project Manager
Gabriel provides assistance on more complex projects. He uses Procore nimbly to track project paperwork such as RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and sustainability documentation for LEED, Energy Star, and Passive House, attends meetings, and more. Gabriel exhibits organizational skills and multitasking capabilities that ensure accuracy and thoroughness on each project.
Hailing from a construction family himself, Bill contributes over 30 years of field experience to managing construction projects for Montagno. Bill has earned the respect of clients, consultants and subcontractors with his knowledge, expertise, and stellar communication skills. He has guided many challenging projects to successful completion for Montagno Construction. He also administers our comprehensive safety program on each project to which he is assigned.
As Superintendent, Joe handily manages total project coordination for new construction and renovation projects. Joe has spent 26 of his 33 years in construction with Montagno Construction. Joe is respected in the industry as an excellent communicator and negotiator. He is known for creating harmonious relationships on his projects and enhancing the work environment, thereby producing highly productive teams of subcontractors, quality workmanship, and very satisfied clients. He also administers our comprehensive safety program on each project to which he is assigned.
Sal has managed high profile projects for the State, municipalities, and publicly traded national firms. He manages construction on site and coordinates with owners’ reps, the design team, inspectors, subcontractors, and neighboring businesses; and he ensures that our comprehensive safety program is understood and followed. Sal’s trustworthiness often turns clients into repeat customers because they know they can depend on him to deliver what he says he will, and when. He also administers our comprehensive safety program on each project to which he is assigned.
Kevin brings a significant amount of field experience to every Montagno project. He is responsible for work flow, subcontractor coordination, and supervision in the field. Kevin’s tenacity and forward thinking have yielded strong relationships and mutual respect through collaboration with owners, consultants, and subcontractors. He also administers our comprehensive safety program on each
project to which he is assigned.
Lenny is an experienced, talented superintendent. He motivates with his cheerful personality while responsibly managing work flow, subcontractor coordination, and oversight in the field. He manages construction on site and coordinates with owners’ reps, the design team, and local and professional inspectors. He is responsive at project meetings and administers our comprehensive safety program.
As Superintendent, Art provides an extensive amount of field experience to his projects for Montagno. Art’s 30 years in the industry, 25 of them as a Superintendent, have earned him many accolades from owners, consultants, and subcontractors. His construction experience is supported by the fact that in his tenure as a superintendent, he has never failed to complete a project on time. Art administers
our comprehensive safety program on every project to which he is assigned.
As Corporate Secretary, Fran manages all the financial and human resource aspects of Montagno Construction, Inc. Fran studied bookkeeping and accounting and began her career at CityTrust Bank. Since joining Montagno Construction, Inc., she has carefully guided the company from a small commercial construction company to the financially sound, regional firm it is today.
With decades of project accounting experience, and degrees in Accounting and Business Management, Robin works alongside Fran Montagno as Accounting Manager, managing the project accounting department at Montagno Construction. As Project Accountant, Robin works with the project managers in generating accurate financial reports, requisitions, and more.
