Montagno Construction has served as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for a series of renovations at the Greater Waterbury YMCA, spanning from 2002 to the present, with project values ranging from $400,000 to $7,200,000. The multi-story facility, which includes a state-of-the-art fitness center with an elevated track, swimming pool, locker rooms featuring steam and sauna areas, a wellness center, and a daycare center, has undergone extensive updates under our management. Our scope of work has included the complete renovation of the fitness center, construction of a new daycare area with a dedicated entrance, installation of a co-generation system for improved energy efficiency, historic restoration of the building’s exterior, interior fit-up for the wellness center, and the addition of a new parking lot. These renovations have helped ensure that the YMCA remains a vibrant and modern facility that continues to serve the fitness, wellness, and childcare needs of the Waterbury community.
