Montagno Construction completed a 5,000 square-foot addition above an existing learning center to create the new Calarco Library at Hopkins School. The project involved gut demolition and renovation of the existing learning center to seamlessly integrate it into the new library space. In addition, the plaza above the old learning center was refurbished with dimensional bluestone pavers, granite treads, and new railing systems, after a waterproofing membrane was applied over the structural concrete below. The work was carried out while the school was in session, and adjacent buildings remained fully operational. Our team developed comprehensive phasing plans and safety protocols, ensuring smooth pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow throughout the project.
