Guilford House

Montagno Construction managed the expansion and modernization of the Maple Grove Rehabilitation Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Waterbury, CT. This 20,000 square-foot addition and complete renovation of the existing 25,000 square feet took place while the center remained fully operational, requiring detailed phasing and safety protocols to protect residents and staff. After initial demolition and partial upgrades, the addition was constructed with new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including modernized HVAC, electrical, and water services, along with improved stormwater management. As each phase reached completion, areas were opened for use, allowing residents and staff to transition smoothly. The project, funded by private and state grants, was completed in an efficient 18-month timeline.
