Brookfield Village Gets Its Start

Montagno Construction is pleased to have begun construction on Brookfield Village, a long-anticipated affordable housing facility in Brookfield, CT. The ground-breaking ceremony took place on November 10, 2017.

 “The CT Dept of Housing (DOH), CT Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), and Boston Capital, the investor, have awarded or provided a total of $14,085,000 in funding for the construction of Brookfield Village. Upon completion of Phase 1, the project will consist of two 3-story buildings, for a total of 48 units of 1- and 2-bd residential apartments and over 10,000 sf” commercial space. Phase 1 also includes site preparation for future phases.

The goal is to achieve full occupancy by the winter of 2018.

Brookfield Village, with its combination of residential and commercial components, will create a sense of place for the town; and it is seen by town leaders as key in the redevelopment of downtown Brookfield, CT.
